Sting of the Viper "Legacy"
2003
Synopsis:

A young boy, Joe Viper (Cody Shcwartz) lies in his bed, listening to the sounds of his own mother and Father fighting in the other room.  He is too young to understand, but after, he goes to investigate.  His Father (Dorvin Ericks) explains that they are leaving for a new life together, and that he will be well cared for.  Little do they know, that mother (Melissa York) is listening to everything beings said.  Later, as young Viper and his father open the door to leave, they are cut off by the mother’s lover, Smiley (R.C. Graham Sr.) who blasts Viper’s father in the chest with a shoot gun slug.  Young Viper watches helplessly as his father slowly dies, making him promise to one day be more than he became, to become the king of his own kingdom.  It is this moment that something in the youth snaps, as he glares up at Smiley, but he is too young, and too small to do anything other than be knocked out by the butt of Smiley’s shotgun.  Hours alter, he is woken by a raspy voice emanating from the closet, swearing they shall have their revenge, on mother, and that he shall be the king one day, of his own kingdom.  We now fast forward 6 years in the boys life, and he is a flippant teenager, (Dustin Bailey) who has had to endure many a years of abuse from his own mother.  Beatings, drug abuse, and lots of different men.  But with him the whole time, that voice from that night, only now, it has taken form, and he speaks to this person as if he is real, and infact, he is becoming real indeed, able to a point to protect young Viper from the attacks of his own mother.  He becons young Viper out into an old barn, where he instructs him to dig through the rubble there, and where he finds, an old, rusty hammer.  He then uses that hammer to kill his own mother, and then burns his house to the ground.  He then disappears for the next several years, finally reemerging as a man, Joe Viper (James T Clement).  One who is destined for great things, to be the king of his own kingdom, as he promised the only person who ever loved him as he took his last breath.  And what kingdom does he set his sites on Hell itself.  He believes that he can be so evil in life, that when he dies, he can be made the ruler of Hell, and he sets off to do just that. Meanwhile, William Carpenter heads up the narcotics department at police headquarters, but business is slow, so when the victims of the Viper start popping up, he is double tasked to lead the investigation, and becomes obsessed with it.  Viper plays the cops like a Cello, until it all comes down to a final showdown in an abandoned warehouse, where Viper has an explosive surprise waiting for Will and his friends.  In the end though, Will, nor anyone is save with the Viper loose, especially when Viper decides to stalk his young wife, Gloria  (Holly Davis).  Did I mention that Viper has two partners this time around?  Belladonna Evans, (Lee Stricklin) and Samuel Gordon, (Dean Clement) whom Viper calls, brother Bob.  It is with this film, Legacy, that the scope of the whole story crosses into a whole new realm.  Nothing with Joe Viper before this has official involvement with the trilogy.  Think of Thrash and 98 Viper as, practice, so to speak.
